Job description

The Company

A confidential search for a public organization, seeking a seasoned HR leader to lead full scope HR, Admin and Procurement functions.

The Role

Human Resources (HR)

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the institution's goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee performance appraisal systems and career development programs to enhance productivity and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and internal HR policies.
  • Handle employee relations issues, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and execute training programs to build employee skills and enhance organizational capacity.
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compensation structures.

Administration

  • Oversee administrative operations to ensure smooth functioning across departments.
  • Develop and implement policies related to office management, facility maintenance, and overall administrative support.
  • Supervise the management of institutional records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve administrative processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Procurement

  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure transparent and accountable procurement practices.
  • Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental procurement regulations and institutional standards.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to procurement activities and ensure cost optimization.
  • Oversee inventory and asset management, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of resources.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in senior HR, administration, or procurement roles, experience in public sector/NGO will be an added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and employment regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
